My nostalgia: childhood.
The not having to worry about so many things. No worries other than what game I’d be playing later. No resonsibilities other than having to put my toys away. And “Bills? You mean money? I have enough for some ice cream. That’s good enough for me!” No college, no real problems. Having nap time and recess during school was fantastic.

I used to love swinging on the swings. Always trying to swing higher than the last.

Play-Doh was always messy and whatever I built would fall apart after a while. But the building part was always fun so I never minded much. And Legos! I guess I just like building things.

Coloring! I loved coloring! One of my favorite past times. I actually sat down and colored for a while today. This was the scene in front of me. My trash can tipped over with all my college papers and I thought it was a perfect time for a picture.
Hey, my mama capps says she gets nostalgic for her kids when we were doing those things too.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with her. Except for the having kids part.
I've never done that.
I miss those days, where days seemed so extremely long yet never long enough to play, and it would be eternity before the sun would set. :) *sigh*...good times.
I would hope you’ve never had kids. I would be angry that they didn’t know they had a Mexican aunt.
ReplyDeleteYes, those days were great. Always playing, never caring about anything else. Now the sun sets too soon and the real life is just around the corner.
I miss those days.
